ATHLETICS
FYHS offers three interscholastic sports spanning the athletic year: Soccer (Fall), Basketball (Winter), and Baseball (Spring). We are a proud member of the Illinois High School Association and compete annually in IHSA's post-season tournaments. Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, we will also be a proud member of the Chicago Prep Conference, which provides our teams and student-athletes the opportunity to compete for conference championships, post-season conference tournament championships, All-Conference awards, and more. Our athletics program is overseen by our Athletic Director, Sid Singer, who has more than 25 years of experience with youth sports and high school athletics.

Basketball is the Yeshiva's legacy sport, going back nearly six decades. We offer both Junior Varsity (generally 9th-10th grades) and Varsity (generally 11th-12th grades) levels. In 2025-26 our varsity team finished 15-13, including winning its first-round IHSA Tournament game, while our junior varsity team completed a historic, undefeated season, going 20-0. All practices and home games take place on campus in our beautiful Rothner Family Gymnasium, which opened in February 2023.
